The liquid distributor is for laying scent tracks on the ground to train hunting dogs. The supply container, at its outlet end is coupled with a connection in the form of a liquid inlet of a tubular distributor unit. At its free end, this unit has a fluid delivery element, whose delivery orifice is connected with the fluid inlet via a metering device fitted in the unit. There is a mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive device for the metering mechanism. The metering mechanism has a metering container which is formed by a cylinder containing a movable piston.
