Continuous blending plant esp. for drawing off beer - with monitors responding to gas bubbles in discharge flow and removing whorl

A blending system, used esp. for drawing off beer, includes a lantern in each discharge pipe from the tanks. Monitors are arranged in the inlet pipe to each lantern which respond to the presence of air-bubbles in the beer and throttle the flow rate so that the air-entraining whorl in the tank is removed. This saves spoiling the taste, and keeps the quality and colour of high-quality beers. The lower part of each tank need not be relegated and can be fully utilised. The appts. is not expensive and is reliable.
