The vehicle is designed to carry fare paying passengers at peak demand times and freight at other times. The vehicle has a weather tight bodywork shell with windows. Side doors and steps for passenger entry and exit are provided. The rear is completely open for the whole of its cross section. The floor is provided with guide rails. Exchangeable inserts, provided with folding support stands are able to slide into the vehicle body shell. The passenger carrying inset is provided with seats and hand rails. The inset is open at the front and close at the rear. Locking and weather seals being provided. The freight carrying insert has front and side walls and a weather tight rear wall.
