The meter comprises a programmable store and has automatic zero and calibration correction. The meter or its electronic circuit is placed in a receiving unit of the testing device. It measures and stores in a first step the actual values of all components and reference values not controlled by the automatic zero and calibration correction system. After heating up of the components the are again measured during a second step, and compared with stored values. Corrections are calculated from the deviations of both measurement results from nominal values stored in the testing device, and written in the programmable store. They are taken into consideration during calculation by the meter of the consumed energy.
