Protective plastics sheet cast on concrete component - comprises deep drawn foil with deep depressions as anchoring elements

The concrete building component has a length of plastic cast on during the fabrication process, with anchor elements for connection with the concrete - as used for structures where concrete must be protected from chemical effects. Here the length of plastic is in the form of foil sheet (3) made by the deep-drawn process. The anchor elements are provided by depressions (4) which are deep in relation to the foil thickness. These may be in the form of bowl-shaped knobs, which can be conical. Their depth to foil thickness ratio is pref. at least of the order of 10 : 1. A tread grating may be cast into the concrete component, lying on the base (6) of the knobs. The anchor elements are firmly and durably connected to the concrete, and easily deformable in one dimension.
