Two-range radio receiver antenna - has half-wave radiators serving as omnidirectional radiator for shorter wave range receptions and as toroidal dipole for longer wave range
The radio receiver antenna has at least three half-wave radiators in one plane. In their omnidirectional mode they serve for reception of shorter wave range, while in their mode as toroidal dipole they serve for reception of longer wave range. They have preferably a shape of an arc. The radiators are interconnected by phase reversing elements serving simultaneously as symmetrising and matching translators. Preferably the phase reversing elements are designed as connecting members for the longer wave range. The translators may form a modulate unit with the connecting members. The terminals of the radiators are switched to a common line via high pass filters rated for their wave range. The toroidal dipole may be connected to a separate line via a low pass filter rated for the longer wave range.
