A dust controlling means for a stream of fluid containing particulate material in suspension, comprising a combination, a cyclone means for conveying fluid to the cyclone; means to ram fluid under pressure into an inlet of the cyclone; means for depositing all particulate material via a discharge funnel from below the resulting vortex formed in the fluid, and a chimney for discharging dust-free stream of the fluid from above the vortex.
