Circuit analyses the pulse sequences from a digital incremental generator with two identical measuring probes. The probes are positioned to give pulse sequences with a phase difference of a quarter period. The probe pulse outputs (A, B) are connected directly by (b, d) and through a dealy stage (a, c) to the inputs of a 4 bit code converter (14). The outputs (17, 18) are connected to give quadruple pulses. The outputs (17, 18) are fed into an up-down counter giving the measurement of movement. The delay time of the dealy stages (12, 13) are set to a value smaller than the shorters time between the level changes of two following probe pulse outputs but greater than the min. time for the code converter and counter.
