The adsorption pump has a pump body (1) which can be cooled and heated and contains an adsorption agent, such as zeolite, and heat conducting fins (8) extending into the agent. The fins (8) are secured to a tube (9) which extends inside through the pump body. The fins may have collars which are a press-fit on the tube. They may consist of aluminium. The pump body may consist of a vertical cylindrical tube section (2) through which the tube extends in horizontal direction. The tube is pref. arranged in the lower third of the body. The body may be flattened in the areas of contact with the tube.
