The bird cage can be collapsed for transport. It has a two part housing, which consists of two like stable halves (2) of wire grating or similar which can be boxed completely in each other. The halves (2) consist of a front wall a side wall (4) and half the cover wall (6). The two part housing (1) has a downwards arched cover wall (6), two vertical side walls (4) and two outwardly inclined front walls. The two halves (2) of the housing (1) are connected by plates (6) and eyelet-type hooks (7) or by point welding.
