The processor is for determining the reliability of systems consisting of discrete elements each subject to defined conditions occurring with a given probability. The system uses the failure mode analysis potential of the pocket calculator. The probability of operation or failure of the system is calculated by suitably programmed microprocessor. The program e.g. of Boolean structure is used with reference to multilinear systems, in particular with interconnected systems. The processor produces the results only in general form, leaving the numerical processing to be carried out separately, e.g. by pocket calculator.
