The cable clamping ribbon (1) is provided with parallel lateral grooves (11) for the location of the tension screw spindle (3). THe ribbon end which is located inside the tension screw housing has a pressed location with a sharp corner so that it anchors itself inside the housing (2). The tension screw housing is made from a pressed sheet metal component. Its two ends which are bent inwards, are welded together so that a closed housing is obtained. The welding seam will fit inside the offset location groove on the clamping ribbon, thus the inside of the cable clamp is uniform.
