The rock or mineral boring appts. is designed to reduce noise and build up of dust. A bore drive is mounted on a gun carriage and is slidable by means of a drive component. The driven bore rod is guided at the front of the gun carriage via a support pallet. A clamping component is sealed against sound, surrounds the bore rod, and is joined to the front side of the support pallet. At least a front edge of the damping component is flexible. The connection between the support pallet and damping component can be articulated by eg a bellows.
