The blade-ring cutter for wood chips has a fixed blade ring in a mill housing. A rotating fan wheel has vanes throwing the inflowing wood chips against the blade-ring, to be centrifugally driven against the inward facing blades and cut into flat pieces. An additional distributor fan wheel (7) of propeller type is provided on the wheel hub (5) for even width distribution of the wood chips on the blade-ring (3). An additional ventilator fan wheel (8) in radial ventilator form is on the side of the thrower fan wheel (4) facing the input (2). A fixed conductor scoop ring (10) for the air blown from the ventilator vanes is open only in the rising and top part segment of the ring towards the housing (1) chip outlet channel (12).
