Flue gases purification process - separates impurities by hot gas drying between scrubber and heat exchanger

Flue gases from furnaces which have to be heated in heat exchangers after leaving a scrubber are first dried by admitting hot gases. The dried impurities are then separated before the flue gases enter the heat exchanger. This prevents the severe corrosive attack of the heat exchangers and increases the service life of them considerably.
