5-Di:chloro:acetylamino-1-naphthol(s) with 2- and/or 4-diazo substits. - are antitumour agents, prepd. from 5-amino-1-naphthol, di:chloroacetyl chloride and sulpha:thiazole or sulphisoxazole
Azo cpds. of formula (I) are new (where R is H or COCHCl COCHCl2; R1 is of formula (II) or (III) R2 is H or is as Ru). (I) are prepd. by reacting 5-amino-1-naphthol with one or 2 moles of dichloroacetyl chloride and then reacting the prod. with one or 2 moles of diazotised sulphathiazole or sulphisoxazole.
