Rapid break-down of drilling bars - using plungers in bar adaptor which assume appropriate positions when bar is horizontal or vertical

The rapid break down of drilling bars is effected by means of plungers which are built into a drill bar acceptor. The plungers have cut-outs. As soon as they are in the vertical position, the plungers fall under their own weight at their stops against stop faces. As soon as they are in the horizontal position, the plungers are pushed back into their output position by servo cylinders.
