Malt sweet comprises sugar, malt and a hop additive. Pref. 150-500 g, esp. 180-400 g dry hop substances are used, based on 10,000-20,000 g esp. 15,000-18,000 g dry malt. Pref. lactic acid, beer-specific proteins and/or maltol. Pref. the sweet has an alcohol content of 10-50 wt. % based on malt content. Pref. 10-50 wt. % esp. 18-30 wt. % of the sugar is replaced by flavourless starch. The flavour of the sweet can be varied as required and over-sweetness is avoided.
