The therapeutic system for enclosing a patient in a magnetic field has a pulse shaper and an oscillator controlled by a system for varying the magnetic field. Inside the coil is a sensing device for monitoring the surrounding and the patient which is connected to the control system for establishing the type of treatment required. The control system includes a programmer, and a data processing system, and the current supplied to the coil is pulses, is varied. The variables include the pulse amplitude frequency width, flank form and polarity. The output of the voltage controlled oscillator has its frequency varied in proportion to the control voltage.
