摘要
Support for underpinning a masonry wall standing on the ground employs a pile (6) located below and running parallel to the side boundary surfaces (16) of the wall. The pile whose outer wall can be a steel pipe, and the underpinning body (5) are both made from steel-concrete and have a common reinforcing core (13) extending from the pile end (4) to the lower boundary surface of the wall. The pile is angled slightly to the vertical so that its imaginary longitudinal extension above the ground level makes a small angle with the wall itself. To accommodate side forces a tie bar is used, having an injection body (8), a cable (9) and an attachment (15) linking it to the underpinning body (5). The cable is attached to the lower third of the underpinning body as this is where the greatest lateral forces arise.
