The packing is for a standard quantity of dye concentrate in paste form. It has a discharge plunger (6) in one end of a container (1), while at the other end of the latter is a discharge zone (3), typically enclosed by a weakened line in the container wall (5). To give good guidance of the plunger in the container, its length can be roughly equal to its diameter. The wall of the container opposite the discharge zone can also have a weakened zone near the plunger centre, there being a guide in the latter in line with this zone to accommodate a thrust rod end.
