The securement of the winding heads on the stators of large electrical machines is designed to avoid problems to resonance. The winding (6) locates in grooves in the stator core (8) and are formed (5) with a connecting strip (4). A pressure plate (9) is secured to the core and radically located springs (13, 14) in grooves apply axial force to a ring (1) of insulating material with a tapered inner surface. A projection (10) fixed to the pressure plate is in contact with an elastomer issolating block (12). The system ensures good retention of the winding, with good vibration isolation.
