The sandwich element with loose filler is produced in an equipment with an auxiliary frame. It uses lower and upper cover sheets, both precoated with suitable adhesive. First the lower cover sheet is located horizontally and then turned through 180 deg. into vertical position. Then the upper cover sheet is applied horizontally. The filler is prepacked in an auxiliary frame and brought laterally between the two cover sheets. The lower cover sheet is then folded over all its sides, and the assembly is lowered. After turning through 180 deg. in vertical plane, the auxiliary frame is extracted. After moving down the upper cover sheet, the assembly is compressed.
