The cladding structure for a mine gallery uses trough shaped channel sections (1, 2) which are curved to match the shape of the roof. At joints between sections, the end overlap, and are fitted with an outer clip (7) one end of the overlap, and an inner clip (8) the other end. These are secured by special hook bolts (30, 45). The hook bolt (30) for the outer clip (7) has a V-shaped ridge (37) projecting downwards from the overhanging portion of the head (35). This locates against the end of the channel (1), this projecting above the level of the other channel (2). The other hook bolt (45) has no locating ridge, so that the end of the second channel (2) can abut against a raised locating lip (18) on the inner clip (8).
