Machine for mfr. of polystyrene foam webs has continuously moving perforated conveyer belts with sidewalls defining a channel; heating and cooling chambers along the sidewalls; and an installation for the small-particle polymer to be charged to the channel. The conveyer belts, longitudinal supports and associated chambers form units of which the upper one is positively and lockingly connected with gantries whilst the lower unit can be vertically adjusted within the gantries. Rapid adjustment of thickness of foam web to be mfd. is possible. Such adjustment can be made, by remote control is desired, by one operator.
