A cyclone furnace with forced gas circulation for use in the metallurgical and glass industry has in the delivery circuit of the gas circulating device a number of partitions which divide the hot gas stream in several side streams. These are directed on the products and include in their path independent heat controllers such as heat exchangers, butterly valves or gate valves. One or several products of complex shape can thereby be heated and cooled uniformly. The upper and lower surfacs of sheet glass can be contacted by gas flows of differential heat input so that the quality is improved. Lehrs for glass annealing can be shortened considerably, their productivity is raised and they have good access.
