The station is for an underground railway system and where lightweight vehicles for a small number of passengers are used. It is designed to provide height compensation at the platform so as to make it easier for people with prams or wheelchairs to a light or board vehicles. A hoist mechanism for the vehicle (9) is positioned at the stopping place (1). This can be in the form of a pressure-medium-activated (18) raisable and lowerable arm (16) on a mounting at the station, pref. fitted also with a parallel guide arm. The hoist mechanism can be fitted with pendulum-suspended raisable and lowerable platform leading to the edge of the vehicle floor (19).
