TV transmitter power tubes cooling system - uses hot water circuit connected to cold water circuit by heat exchanger

The cooling system includes a primary circuit in which hot distilled water is pumped through a heat exchanger in which heat is given up to mains water circulating through a secondary circuit. The anode of a power tube is cooled by evaporation of water in the primary circuit and condensation on the anode. The purity of the distilled water is maintained by an ion exchanger (8) and a filter (9) in a branch circuit which a small quantity of water flows continuously from the primary circuit.
