The vehicle parking charge display is mounted inside the parked vehicle and is operated by a special battery whose charge decays during the parking period. The display comprises a number of lights of different colours and a switch for energising the lights via the battery, these lights being clearly visible from outside the vehicle. The purchase price of the special battery corresponds to the parking charge for the period it takes for the battery charge to be used up.
