The manometer has a flat working profile and employs a pressure monitoring capsule, carried by a frame, which is coupled via a pivoted lever to a pointer rotating relative to a pressure dial. The lever is pivoted at a point near its end furthest away from the dial and is coupled to the carrier for the pointer via a coupling pin which fits into a slot in the carrier, so that the pin moves along the slot as the carrier moves parallel to the pressure dial comprises a lever arm. The opposite end of the lever which has a slot into which fits a pin carried by a bar, which moves in response to the pressure monitoring capsule. The latter is adjustable in a direction parallel to the lever arm when the pointer is at the initial end of the dial.
