The front loader is detachably mounted on a tractor and may be dismounted and installed by one man. To dismount the loader the bolts (3, 5) are removed and the pivots (8) of the arms (7) released. A pair of struts (23) are folded and rotationally secured to their mounting plates (20). The bucket (18) is anchored against a wall (28) and the hydraulic cylinder (14) extended. A lug on the arm (23) engages with a bolt (26) on the frame and the foot at the end of the strut (25) comes into contact with the ground. The vertical members (12) and the arms (7) lift out of their mountings on the tractor.
