The mechanism is to unload sheet film from a film magazine, especially X-ray film, and store it in an intermediate magazine prior to feeding it into the development machinery. Film magazines (30) are placed under a cover (32) so that they locate it in a particular place on guides (33) and a lever can open the dark slide (36) to allow the film to drop into the intermediate magazine (5). A coupled pressure plate (21) and mechanism (23, 44, 41 etc.) allows the sheet film to drop onto the top of others (6). The bottom sheet is fed into the transport mechanism (9, 14) leading to the development and other processing stages.
