Aerodynamic cover for parachute - with air scoops to pull cover off chute to act as drag chute

The cover for a parachute comprises a tubular body (1) which is open at the top and bottom and covered by a second cover (2) sewn to the tube and fitted with folds to act as air scoops (4). The cover is dragged off and acts as a drag chute to stabilise and open the main chute. The cover does not tangle the main chute lines and is dragged off the chute in a simple and straightforward manner. It is simple to manufacture and fir over the folded chute.
