Mobile sealing arrangement for water systems - is in form of ballasted vehicle which exerts restraining base pressure on canal bottom

The mobile seal is for water systems, esp. for man-made canals which are sunk at the point of use by flooding cells from the floating position into the closing position. The device in the form of a vehicle (1) in the sunk condition with ballast exerts such as a base pressure on the canal bottom (2) that the resting friction w.r.t. the canal bottom, prevents the vehicle (1) from moving. Damming vanes (3) with seals can pivot about vertical axes (4) on the vehicle side walls (1a). The vanes (3) have a triangular shape which emerges at the corner opposite to the pivot axis (4). At the bottom, they have height adjustable sealing flaps or slides (5).
