Depositing mechanism for endless strip in folds - used in wet processing sequence, has inlet funnel moved to=and=fro about axis at bottom

The mechanism deposits endless strip material in regular folds, particularly for a period of wet treatment, e.g. washing, using a reciprocating vertical inlet funnel inside which the folds are formed. The funnel (5) hinges (9) at its lower end, and its inlet end is driven to and fro in relation to an intake guide (11, 12) so as to form the folds in the material (10) inside the funnel. The funnel can have porous walls, and the intake guide can comprise a deflector roller (11), with a beater roller (12) close underneath it, acting against the material which hangs down freely. There can be a chute (7) connected to the funnel, working in conjunction with a roller (6) on the other side of the folds and acting in the transport direction.
