Lightweight dimensionally stable building block - mfd. of blown-clay granules with cement binder and has rows of blind holes filled with heat-insulating urea!-formaldehyde! resin foam

Building block is made of cement-bonded elastics granules and has blind holes which extend perpendicularly to the underside of the block. The holes are arranged in several rows and are staggered w.r.t. the holes in adjacent rows. The blind holes are filled with heat-insulating material, specifically U.F. resin foam. Block is dimensional stable in mfr. by moulding under pressure with simultaneous agitation of the cement-granulate mixt. Tendency to seal-in inherent stresses is minimised.
