Textile detergent for cold washing - contg. surfactant and hydroxy-alkyl-amine and/or epoxy-alkane derivs. of cpds. introducing carbonyl or imino-carbonyl gp.
Textile detergent compsn. contains a =1 anionic, nonionic or zwitterionic tenside and (A) a reaction prod. of (i) a vicinal hydroxyalkylamine, (I), with (ii) 1-1.5 mol. carbonyl gp.-introducing cpd., (Ia), e.g. phosgene, urea, cyanic acid or a carboxylic acid ester of a monohydric 1-3C alcohol, and/or (B) a reaction prod. of (i) an epoxyalkane, (II), with (ii) 1-1.5 mol. cpd. (IIb) introducing an iminocarbonyl gp., -NHCO-, e.g. cyanic acid, urea or urethane. (I) has formula R-CH(OH)-CH(NH-R")R' (where R and R' are each 1-16C alkyl or H. The C sum in the alkyl gps. is 6-30 (8-18)C. If r or R' = h, then the R or R' gp. present contains 6-16C. R" is H, 1-5 (1-3)C, alkyl, hydroxylethyl, or -(CH2)m-NA1A2, where m = 2-6, esp. 2-3, and A1 and A2 are 1-3C alkyl). (II) has formula R- - R'. (B) may be an adduct with 1-10 mol.ethylene oxide. (A), in which R"=H or -CH2CH2OH, can also be an adduct with 1-10 mol.ethylene oxide. (A) and (B) are prepd. by heating the reactant mixt. to 20-200 degrees C, opt. in a solvent. Wt. ratio tenside: (A) and/or (B) is 50:1 to 2:1 (20:1 to 2:1) esp. 10:1 to 3:1. The new compsns. can be used for washing textiles with cold water. (A) and/or (B) act synergetically with tenside, to increase washing power of compsn.
