The inflatable liferaft with floor reinforcement has two stiff panels forming the largest sides of the rectangular block into which the raft folds for stowage. Emergency equipment containers are arranged along one long side of the rectangle. The narrow sides of the block are formed by strips of flexible waterproof material secured around the edges of the panels, held together along their free edges by lacing or a sliding clasp fastening. Separation elements to permit unfolding are provided, in the lacing or separately, so that both panels are on the underside of the inflated raft.
