摘要
In the determn. of the radiation dose adsorbed by a TSC (Thermally Stimulated Conductivity) dosimeter faced on opposite sides with a contact electrode, the dosimeter is connected through its electrodes with an external, closed electrical circuit and is heated by thermal radiation from a radiant heater, the thermally stimulated currents produced in the electrical circuit by the heating effect are measured. The electrodes may also be connected to an external current source producing a polarised voltage. Used for measuring the dose absorbed by a small portable dosimeter of disc form. The method avoids the use of electrical heaters which could generate disturbing currents influencing the readings. It also avoids the use of a hot gas which can generate vibrations. By using a radiant heating source, reliable and controlled heating can be obtd., thus eliminating any risk of damaging the dosimeter so that readings can no longer be obtd. from it.
