Concrete panels with surface coating compsn - applied before water-evolution from concrete has ceased

Prefabricated concrete panels with a surface coating are produced by moulding and hardening the plate, and then applying a flowable compsn., based on hydraulic cement, an alkali silicate or colloidal silica. The coating is applied before water-vapour evolution from the concrete has ceased in cases where heat is required for curing or before the water-content of the concrete has dropped below 10 wt.% for a coating which hardens at room temp. The coatings produced are free from defects.
