Thin plate type permanent magnets for magnetic adhesion - uses fine-pole magnetised rubber or plastic bound iron layer with soft iron return path

The plate type permanent magnet of e.g. 2mm thickness, such as for magnetic adhesion of panels on tablets uses strip type fine-pole magnetised permanent magnets embedded in rubber or plastics, obtained by pulse magnetisation of an iron strip. The permanent magnet then shows a continuous, stripwise homogeneous magnetisation on both sides. The permanent magnetic body may have a soft magnetic material layer to give a magnetic return path. The continuous strip magnetisation results in equal adhesion on both sides of the permanent magnet. With a soft magnetic return path the adhesion on the front is independent of the thickness of the magnet.
