Gas turbine with gas generator - hydraulic rams drive piston compressors for air to fuel and expansion turbine

A gas turbine has an expansion turbine coupled to the shaft driving the hydraulic motor. This motor is supplied with hydraulic fluid from the tank and operates the free hydraulic pistons which are out of phase. The hydraulic pistons are connected to the air pistons. The compressed air supplies the combustion chamber with the aid of an accumulator. An ignition system ensures that the exhaust gas will provide energy to the turbine. The installation offers good weight distribution for the engine. The combustion air is pre heated by compression in the cylinders.
