False (reinforced polyester) base for swimming pool - to separate off dirt to eliminate turbidity and pool bottom scrubbing

False base opt., matl. of prefabricated panels moulded from glass reinforced polyester resin for a swimming pool allows fully automatic cleaning of the pool by allowing water to drain into a series of decantation chambers below the base. The chambers are emptied by drain tubes leading recirculation pumps with filters, separators for removing heavy debris and contaminating solns. System is used for general, but esp. for larger pools such as public or competition pools where physical cleaning of the pool bottom would be inconvenient and time-consuming. Dirt is removed from the bulk of water by sedimentation, does not cause turbidity of the pool, is subsequently disturbed.
