The dental cast drilling machine enables the user to operate the machine and hold the workpiece with one hand. The drill is controlled by a handle (50) or foot pedal. The machne constitutes a drilling platform with a vertically reciprocable motor housing beneath it: the motor being guided during vertical displacements by upper lateral vertical bars and a lower central bar. The control handle (50) locks in a desired position, permitting the operator to use it as anchorage when gripping the workpiece. An observation lamp above the platform and emitting a beam in alignment with the drill, precisely indicates the position of the hole on the underside of the workpiece.
