1525771 Drip resistant polyester compositions BASF AG 16 Jan 1976 [24 Jan 1975] 01726/76 Heading C3R Drip resistant, flame retardant moulding compositions comprise (a) a linear polyester, (b) from 10 to 60% by weight of a reinforcing agent, (c) from 3 to 30% by weight of a flame retardant and (d) from 0À25 to 6% by weight of a bisepoxide, the percentages being based on the composition. The composition may contain an amine catalyst for the crosslinking of the polyester and bisepoxide. The examples describe compositions comprising (a) polybutylene terephthalate, (b) glass fibres or glass spheres, (c) red phosphorus or antimony trioxide and either decarbromodiphenyl oxide or an adduct of hexachloropentadiene and cyclooctadiene, and (d) an epoxide based on bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin.
