The greenhouse has a double glazed roof (1) supported by a ridge beam (2) provided with extruded sections (3, 4) to take the glass panes (5, 6). It also includes water channels (7) which communicate with space (8) between the panes. The lower longitudinal edge of the panes is held by extruded members (10, 11) on beam (9) which also includes a gutter. Channel (7) may be supplied by hot or coled water from a three way valve (14). Gutter (12) in beam (9) is connected to a waste water outlet (19).
