Toy building blocks with interlocking tongues and grooves - enable flat or curved walls to be built with modular elements

The basic building block consists of a square tile (1) which is fixed between two similar tiles (2). The outer tiles (2) overlap a quarter of the area of the inner tile (1). These composite blocks are fitted together with the projecting portion of the inner tile (1) fitting in the slot (3) of the adjacent blocks. Larger building blocks have dimensions which are multiples of the basic block. Curved surfaces can be formed by using blocks in which the tiles (1) and (2) are bent to the required radius of curvature. Windows and door frames can be formed with matching tongues and grooves in order to build complete toy houses.
