The grass-mower has a rotor (1) with cutting edges (2) and slanting raised blades (3) which, when the rotor is going round, produce an upward-moving air-current in the casing (4). The rotor shaft has a turbine (5) which has blades with cutting-edges (6) curved in the opposite direction to the blades (3), and producing a downward-moving air current in the casing (4). A deflector-plate (7) partly closes the outlet to a tunnel-shaped opening (8). The mown grass cut by the rotor (1) is driven by the air current and guided by means of the deflector -plate (7) to the turbine (5), and chopped up again by the cutting edges (6). Part of the mown grass is discharged through the hole (8) and the rest is conveyed by the cir-current produced by the pack-parts (3).
