Single wire remote control for two systems - uses diodes to separate positive and negative cycles of AC passed along wire

The remote control system consists essentially of a control circuit having to opposed diodes placed in two parallel electrical circuits. The system has two switches and two variable resistances. The control circuit (1) is fed by A.C. where positive and negative phases are separated by means of the divider (3) and (4) in the parallel circuits (5) and (6). An intensity modulation can be added by this separation by the resistances (9) and (10). Then one of the two phases is sent by the single wire (11) via the switches (7) and (8). The two phases are again separated by means of diodes (12) and (13) and can control, independently of each other, the system in which they are connected.
