The stand contg. refuse collection sacks, has a cover (2) with individual openings for each sack, and has demountable collars (6) securing each sack (1) in position beneath an opening. The collars centre the mouth of the sack in the relevant opening and wedge the edges of the sack mouth over the rim (3-5) of the opening. The cover (2) may be of monobloc laminar moulded plastic with circular openings, and each opening has a recessed rim wall (3) of inverted truncated cone-form. In addn. the cover forms a trapezoidal kerb (3-5) around each opening. The collar (6) may be a ring of inverted trapezoidal channel section (7-9) and fits over the kerb (3-5) around each opening to wedge the top edges of the sack (1) mouth in position.
